Is it okay for me to take Benadryl while I am pregnant?

  • My doctor told me I could take it, I have chronic hives and am 32 weeks.

  • I don't think so. It will say on the box but you better ask your Dr. I'd say NO from what I remember.

  • Benadryl and Tylenol are the two main go-to meds for pregnant women. Ask your doctor if you have questions.

  • I had terrible allergies. I used Benedryl, but only when I was extremely bad. I really tried not to use anything, but if you must, I think it's OK.

  • Ask your doctor. You cannot take the advice of the masses on medication, especially when you're pregnant. Because we don't know what restrictions your doctor has for you. Your doctor might suggest you not take it due to something they've noticed with your pregnancy. Or they might suggest something else that's better. Just talk to your doctor before taking any medication.

  • The dr. let me take it but she told me to take a children's dose. It was enough to help plus I fell asleep and didn't recall the next 4 hours lol.
