Are too many wet diapers a concern?

My 5 month has been peeing alot. I mean I change about 15-20 diapers a day of just pee. Should I be concerned?

  • I dont think so? You can call your pediatrician and ask them though. I know I had one child who seemed to pee ALOT. I mean every night he peed through his diapers (that we doubled up mind you), straight through his sheets, all of his blankets, everything. My pediatrician told us it was fine. If this is something new though maybe you can ask them and make sure.

  • How wet is each diaper? Do you change it after just a single pee? Then no, it's not too much. Most people let their kid pee a few times and just change it every couple of hours or so when it's wetter.

  • I'm glad you asked, b/c I was thinking our 2 1/2 month old DD peed A LOT too! We change her about every two hours when she's not sleeping and she's wet every time. But then again I've heard it also means your little one is well hydrated :)
