  • bowling is always fun and cheap! If you go to the dollar store and stock up on candy a movie can be pretty cheap too. Staying in and playing a game

  • see if your movie theater has a day where tickets are like 5.00. or same for the bowling alley. you could also always do a picnic. Go get your fav appetizer from a restaurant and find a nice quiet spot and just eat and talk in the quietness.

  • Under twenty? I say skip going out and just rent a movie and order a pizza and if there is enough left over get an inexpensive bottle of champagne. You can do all of this at home while the kids are in bed! WE do it at least 2 times a month. Cheap and doesn't require them to stay the night anywhere(though that is bonus) or pay a sitter.

  • I don't know if you have one nearby, but we have a drive-in theater about 40 minutes away that we like to go to. Ours is only $8 a person for a double feature and you can take your own snacks/ drinks, so it's definitely worth the drive for us.

If you have any nice parks, that can be nice to just get out and do the walking trails, take a picnic, if you have bikes you could take those..

We don't really go on dates much.. that's really all I can think of..

  • I agree bowling is always fun.
Matinée movie (sneak in your own snacks lol)
    Fishing
Day at the lake or beach
One time my husband went to McDonalds and got dinner & some beer, and we rented a movie on demand and ate by candle light. That was fun too.

  • I'd have an indoor or outback picnic, be creative. Redbox is only a dollar thats a good option. Look for coupons for local things, events etc.. You said your town has very little, but if the next big town had a Dave and Busters, they have a meal and game card for $15.99, you can eat something lite before you go and share the meal. If you get extra money, buy an entertainment book, its well worth it! Many buy 1 get 1's for fancy places and fast food, entertainment etc.. If the weather permits go to a park take a little hike and bring lunch. Be sure to google coupons no matter where you go. Make your money last! You could also, go crop picking, whatever is local to your area. Something simple, yet gives you tie to talk and be active. Good luck! Think outside the box!

  • If you prefer a night out: How about looking up for a discounted movie theater. We have one that the movies are $1 - $3 on weekends. You can go to the mall and walk around and buy coffee drinks. Go out just for dessert and (or coffee).
If you don't mind having date night at home: Look up a recipe to make together (www.allrecipes.com). Play some soft music and rub each other down with oil. Night of board games and make up some fun drinks, iced coffee or inexpensive wine. And our favorite date night at home is we rent redbox and make up fun snacks to eat. We make things like: bean dip, crab dip, artichoke dip, popcorn, cheese and crackers. And sometimes we will also drink a bottle of wine with our snack. Have fun and I would be curious what you guys end up doing!!
