  • anything high protein, low carb.

After a work out, your body needs extra protein to help your muscles heal. Without that extra protein, your muscles could take much longer to rebuild after a workout. Your body also absorbs protein better after exercising.

  • Something with a good amount of protein, very few carbs. And steer clear of sugar. Avoiding sugar as much as possible is a good idea anytime, but especially after exercising.
I usually eat a plain boiled egg or two, or a 2% milk 60-calorie cheese stick, something like that if I need a snack right after a workout.

  • Yes, if you eat it plain, it's fine. But watch that you don't eat too much as it has quite a bit of sodium.

  • I was told to eat a banana before and drink milk after. I can't do it, I need water after working out but they say it is supposed to help you replace everyrhing you just lost.
