Do you know anyone with Bordeline Personality Disorder?

How are they different then people that do not have it?

  • My Aunt has it. You can't win with someone with Borderline Personality disorder, so don't try. Only a psychiatrist can help them. It's best to steer clear of them and avoid them as much as you can. One major issues that my Aunt has is she truly believes NOTHING is her fault and the whole world is against her. She's turned my uncle against our whole family and completely alienated him.

  • My mom had it, but she also had a lot of other problems. I don't know which symptoms were from this and which were from her other problems. She had extreme social anxiety. She often contemplated suicide, but got help for and struggled through. She would sometimes sleep for days. ....I'm not much help bc she had so many other issues as well, sorry.

Only a psychiatrist can diagnose it and treat it. I think it's BS- but I'm not a doctor or psychiatrist.

  • Court128 that sounds like my aunt! nothing is her fault and she has gotten her boys to turn against her family and to the point they don't even talk to her.

I am just trying to get personal views on this I have looked it up but it just generalizes BPD
