Quick Dinner Ideas

I am in need of some quick dinner tips. I do not get home until late in the evening, so my time is limited. Any ideas?

  • Pull out ur crock pot. I start it mine n the morning b4 work, on low or the 8~10 hr setting and u can leave it all day. u can make chicken, pot roasts, if u do alot of beef or pork, u can do a variety of meals from one large roast. like stew, or pulled bbq sandwiches..

  • You can make casseroles in advance and freeze them (on weekends) then during the week, pull them out and pop them in the oven. Lasagna freezes well. So do Pot pies, sheppards pie, tuna noodle casseroles. Meatloaf is a quick dinner,so are home made tacos

  • Crock pot pulled pork, beef roast, or chili. On the weekends, make big batches of chili, casseroles, etc and freeze them. Another favorite of mine is get a grill pan, marinate thin sliced chicken breasts in the morning before you leave. When you get home, toss the chicken breasts on the grill pan, cook through (takes about 5 minutes for the really thin ones if that), toss on top of salad greens mixed with dried cranberries, candied walnuts, and toss with a balsamic vinagrette dressing. We like to add feta cheese into our salad. Serve with some toasted slices of french bread.

  • crock pots are perfect if planned ahead but things that are quik well it depends on what you have, if you have thawed chicken breasts they only take 20 minutes to bake and while they bake you can make a box of mac-n-cheese and a veggie
