Baby won't eat...

My 6 month old has been very spitty-uppy these last few days, and this morning she barely ate. Last night she ate like normal, though. She normally has a full 6-8oz when she wakes up, but this morning she only drank 2oz. Then a couple hours later, 2 more oz. Then another 2oz. another couple hours later. She's a little fussier than normal, but not bad. She doesn't sound sick - no cough, sneezing, runny nose. She just won't eat much...help???

  • I was worried about my sons too when they wouldn't eat much. I took them to the hospital and the doctor said as long as they aren't showing any signs of dehydration that eating a couple ounces more frequently, compared to a lot stretched in a longer period of time helps more with the vomiting. If she isn't dehydrated don't worry.

  • Maybe her belly hurts or she teething. Don't worry, these things happen.

  • Don't worry about it, i think at 6 mths is when i cut my son back to 4oz at a feeding because he just wasn't eating as much. She may have gone through a growth spurt and now is just teething or not up to eating, give her time, she will be fine, if you give her baby food try that, maybe some fruit. My son had food at 5mths.

  • she's been eating food since 4 months. but lately, when i give it to her, she throws it back up a few hours later. idk if she's teething, she doesn't seem to be in pain. she only fusses when she wants her bottle, then barely drinks off of it.

  • But she HAS been vomiting, even with the smaller amounts at a time. She seems a bit better today than before...maybe she is teething. I don't know...I'm just so frustrated. And it's so hard to get her to sleep. Maybe it's a growth spurt?
