What the in the heck is a miliraty junta?

I don't know if that is how you spell it but what does that mean?

How does a country end up being lead by a junta?

  • How? A group/committee of (usually) high ranking military members either by cooperation or by force overtake the government... Depending on the scenario, may be be considered a dictatorship..

    Yea, if you were to study the details of certain countries (and their laws.constitution), this type of action would be considered a dictatorship...  The difference depends on the situation.... Example:  I wouldn't consider Egypt a dictatorship, becasue an individual leader has not emerged from the military Rule to "assume power"...
