  • Cranberry juice does help a little, but if the infection is there it's quicker to go to the Dr. for antibiotics to get rid of the infection.

  • Yes, cranberry juice can help, and there are things you can do to make it more intense (my mom went through this recently). Remember, going to the doctor and taking antibiotics can have other side effects, so it's not a bad idea to try the natural approach and if the infection persists or returns, go to the doctor.

  • Yes it helps but like pp said go to the doctor to get it taken care of. There are also over the counter meds that help relieve the symptoms but they wont get rid of the infection. Good luck!

  • You need antibiotics.

  • You have to make sure its actually real cranberry juice- most of the store bought stuff has very little actual juice in it. If its progressed too far though you will need antibiotics.

  • Cranberry juice will help and blueberry juice will help too(it has even more of the good things) You have to make sure that there is no sugar of any kind,no apple ,pear, white grape or any other juice in it...they are used to sweeten it. It HAS to be PURE cranberry or blueberry juice. Drink it during the day but,the best time is at night before bed as it will stay where needed longer. We've dealt with many UTI's and Kidney infections and this is per the does work as I've done it myself and notice a difference withing two days at most. I hope this helps you too! God bless!

  • cranberry is more of a preventative. there is an enzyme or something in it that helps keep bacteria from attatching to the inside of the bladder wall. it can help to take cranberry pills while on the antibiotics but if u already have one u need to take an antibiotic then u can use the cran juice/pills to help prevent it from coming back
