Why do electric ovens cook so unevenly?

The electric coils should be on the sides of an electric oven too, Not just above and below the inside of the oven.

  • I just got an electric stove after cooking on a gas stove for over 20 years. I love how evenly the oven cooks and browns. Is your oven older? Maybe the coils need to be replaced.

  • Electric ovens are generally considered more even; that's why you can find expensive combination ranges with an electric oven and gas ranges. Is your oven clean? That can seriously affect how heat moves around.

  • Sounds like yours has a problem, mine bakes so nicely, better than my mom's gas oven!
