What laundry detergent can I use that won't make my clothes fade?

I just bought new pajamas for my twins yesterday and theyre SOO stinkin cute. theyre the carters ones that are gray blue and a super light neon lime green or yellow however you choose to see it, with the monster truck on them.
anyhow, the colors are super bright and ugh just so cute.
well I already have to wash one set because of a leaky diaper and I'm so afraid they'll just fade out right away like all their other cute clothes :c

what do detergent should i try!?
i'm also concerned about keeping a brand new blck sweatshirt, black. i hate when black sweatshirts fade to that dull weird black you know. :/

right now i'm using arm and hammer...

  • I use Arm and Hammer Powergel with Oxyclean. I haven't noticed any fading, and I've been using it for about 6 months or so. A friend of mine uses Cheer, and she says it doesn't fade her clothes.

  • it's not detergent that fades cloths, it's heat. wash in cold and dry on low
