How you find friends for your 2 year old

  • Two year olds don't really need friends. In most cases they don't have the social skills or developmental ability to engage in cooperative play...that happens around 3 or 4 (about when your child can go to preschool).

  • You can go to your library's story hour to meet moms and kids but I agree that they don't really need friends at age 2

  • mine has alot of friends from daycare it was a blessing when i got him into daycare and around other kids he is now my social butterfly

  • MOPS, Story time at the library, or if your friends have children that age. With my 5 year old (he had instant friends since there were 3 of us pregnant at the same time) then he met kids at MOPS, at my husbands softball games and other places. My 4 year old met friends through his older brother. My 2 year old....well she meets kids at MOPS & story time. I really don't push it.
    Sometimes 2 year olds don't play nicely.
