Hard poops...

Gauge just started on babyfoods and I know his bowl movements are going to change and get harder. But his are HARD.
I heard some foods can cause this- which ones though?

  • My oldest son (Gage, HA!) was the same way so we instituted a prune a week, as in pureed prune baby food and then he was fine from then on....it works really well!

  • try giving him 4 ounce of prun juice a day. It will help soften the stools. Most fruits are good and keep stools pretty well soft. Stay away from the meat for now.

  • Our Ped recommended 2 ounces apple prune juice mixed with pedialyte 2 times a day. You mix it with the pedialyte just in case it works a little too well it will keep him hydrated. It's worked wonders for us and we've not had any problems.
