How can I get my 7 month old to stop scratching me!

Shes alway scratching or pinching me while I nurse most of the time she draws blood I can't cut or file her nails short enough it seems. Shes a face grabber too and bites while nursing sometimes. I always yell to because it hurts then she laughs so I take her off for awhile. I stopped nursing my first dd early because she got teeth at 3 months and would bite a lot I don't want to have to stop again...

  • They make mittens they can wear on their hands for that. If that doesn't work then maybe try wrapping a blanket around the area she usually grabs?

  • You can always use a receiving blanket and swaddle her tightly so she cant grab or pinch. Dont know wha to tell you about the biting. Ouch!

  • The only thing I can tell you is to immediately tell her Ouch NO! and take her off everytime she does it. She should eventually get the message that scratching, pinching and biting = no ninnies ( or whatever name you have for it).
    HTH and Good Luck.
