  • Demonstrate what listening to people looks like, by listening to them.

Children are not slaves --and they're not paid well enough to take orders. They are human, so they naturally resist being controlled by others, especially when it feels arbitrary.

Oh, and the advice from a very, very successful business man: never ask anyone to do anything you feel is beneath you, because it's your opinion it's beneath them, too --and they probably agree with you.

  • We do listen to them. we always get to their level to hear what they have to say. and we do NOT treat them like slaves. we are tring to teach them responibility.... weHELP them pick up after themsleves... but when it comes to them doing somthing they arent suposed to, and us saying NO please dont do that, sometimes the just smile and do it we dont exist!

  • Poor behavior needs to have conequences. Consistancy is important if you ask them to do or not to do something & they refuse there should be a conequence. Take away tv, nintendo, etc whatever they value for an amount of time. Follow through and don't threaten... Also reward good behavior with praise and maybe they earn new privlages
