  • Because they think they need to be strong and brave for their women.

  • Males of society are expected to be strong physically and emotionally, unfortunately strength translates into 'don't share a thing or you're not a man'. It starts very early on.

  • 1. They're not hiding what goes on in their heads --when you ask 'what are you thinking honey', if the answer is 'nothing' it's because they are genuinely not thinking at all. They spend a lot of time zoned out.

    2. They can't hide what they can't find. Very often, men are completely out of touch with their feelings and wouldn't recognize their emotions if they could see their own faces on film. This is related to how out of touch with their own bodies they often are, absolutely clueless about when they're tired, when they should have eaten 4 hours ago, when they were full 2 pounds of food ago, when they're about to blow out their knee because they have no strength left, etc.

  • my SO is just as open about how he feels as I am. we like to be very open and honest so we can be on the same page and have as few disconnects as possible.

  • Have you seen the movie "He's Not That Into You" it explains how men thinks. Things for them are simple Yes or No.
We make questions so complicated, everything has to be a questions that needs an answer right away, we set ourselves to fail from the get go.
"Honey, does this dress makes me look fat?" we already know the answer to that if we're asking.

  • Men are fully thinking and emotional creatures. Sometimes, I think that men are capable of much greater depths of emotion than women.

Men simply process and demonstrate their emotions differently. Not all men want to "talk it out" or comb over every detail. Neither do I, for that matter.
