Can my 5 month old be teething??

my 5 month old is soooo fussy doesnt want to be held, rocked, doesnt want her toys she just is refusing everything! but when i rub her gums she gets so quiet and just lets me....idk what is wrong with her..

any opinions or advice...plz thank you

  • Sounds like teething to me! I had my first tooth (out and everything) at 4 months old so its very possible! Try giving her a cold wash cloth or one of those teethers you put in the refridgerator and see if she likes that.

  • could be teething, try giving her teething tablets or a cold washcloth to chew on. my kids started teething a 2 months. my youngest got his first at 4 months

  • Yes! My third child got his first tooth at 5 1/2 months. An ice cube in one of those mesh bag food holders (baby section in Target) worked wonders for me!

  • My DD was teething at 3 months. She cut her first tooth at 4 months and a week later she cut her second one. So it's def. possible

  • thank u ladies iam going to take the opinions n advice....because i do not know what else it could be....i feel like a hardness on her gums and a lil sharpness..not sure what do you think???

  • Definitely. My baby had two teeth at 5 months. The teething tablets work wonders. I tried the drops...didn't like them as much. They like a cold wash cloth. Teething biscuits are good too, but certain kinds can be messy.
