Is there any cars out there other then vans that can hold a family of 6? (travel?)

I know they used to have station wagons that had 3 seats and sometimes a suv might i think. i take my mom with me a lot of the time and am going to need that many seats with my two kids and the new baby coming and my hubby. i know i could buy a van. i just wish i had the credit to buy a newer vehicle that is easier on fuel. If i have to go to a van again i will.

  • There are used cars, even vans, that get good gas milage. SUV's, even new ones, aren't really that fuel efficient.
There are a lot of SUV's out there that do have third row seating.

  • Have you thought of a crossover? I'm pretty sure that's what a Dodge Caliber is. Lots of them can seat 6, I think... and are much more stylish (in my opinion) and functional than a mini van.

  • Anything with a front bench seat will seat 6. Some of the 90s station wagons also had 2 jump seats facing backwards in the back, making 8 seats.

  • I have a ford expedition which has 3rd row seating and fits 8. Look around, there are many vehicles out there and it doesn't have to be a mini van :)
