How to break a 3 yr old from sippy cup

whats the best way to break a 3 yr old from a sippy cup? she doesnt drink from one all the time...but she will be 4 in jan and i would like her to be off of it by then...

  • well if she don't drink from one all the time it sounds like you are well on your way...I started using the ones that are not spill proof and then just started taking the lids off it don't take a 3 year old long to catch on to those sort of things...if she is drinking out of a regular cup sometimes and doing good with it then just start giving her the reg cup all the time if she fusses about wanting the sippy cup then just let her know that she is a big girl now they usually get excited about that

  • thanks its just that certain family members said she should be off it by now and already potty trained..it just seems like alot of pressure

  • offer her straws and such but whats wrong with a three yr old using a sippy?

  • My daughter had a sippy cup of water next to her bed until she was around eight.
