I was reading some answers to the food stamp question. Well in my state you have to provide a certified birth certificate and social security card in order to get any help. It cannot be photo copies either. So why not take it to your state, instead of griping about it?
btw this started just a year or so ago.

Uh, I said no such thing, I was just pointing out that it is more difficult to scam the system here. If you want to believe that every mexican or other is stealing identities to get assistance then go ahead. Ridiculous

lilmizmoore that's needed here in Fl and NY as well. I think that most people are just sooooooo anti-immigrant that they just assumed that the ones getting help are illegal. I have seen this done to people I know and to myself as well. I was raised in NY and I'm a usa citizen but people have assumed that because I'm hispanic I'm an illegal immigrant. Unfortunately Hate and ignorance can be very powerful.
