The 50s

does anyone ever wish that life could be like the 50s women not having to work and not nhaving to worry about money problems or crime?

  • Don't let people on here judge you for wishing for that! People are so quick to judge! I wish that frequently in fact, (horros) I sometimes even wish I lived in the 1880's or 90's!

  • Umm there were plenty of women who were working in the 50's not all of them were SAHM's like the tv show images (June Cleaver, Donna Reed) who kept house, looked pretty and did not have a care or worry in the world. .....
    I would NOT want to go back to that time... I like the here and now where women are considered equal and I would rather work and bring in a paycheck to help support my family.

  • No way I think the fifties were just as bad they just hid it better and the fifties were the age of women being kept as chattle with no rights and the words barefoot and prego come to mind no fing thank you.
