What religious significance does the term Seven Pounds have?
I didn't mean the movie I was referring to the Christian term.

    The “seven pounds” refers to Shakespeare’s “The Merchant of Venice” where creditors demanded their “pound of flesh” no matter how painful the repayment would be to the debtors.

  • I searched online and found the reference to the Merchant of Venice as well =] I don't think it has any religious significance whatsoever.
