How does your LO act when they come home from their dads?

My LO spends EOweekend with her dad. She comes home and is so mean for about a week. Then she is so nice and sweet for the whole week before returning. I hate seeing her go, it feels like I get a completely different child back.

  • Me too! They act wild and misbehave when they get home. I hear this is common among divorced parents.

  • Like an a-hole. I know it's kinda harsh but totally true. He's usually back to normal by the next morning though. It's rough, but not sure what can be done about it? I just kinda try to prepare myself for it everytime.

  • My SD comes to us as a hellion, and turns into an angel later.. it's hard to transition for them. They usually have a change in rules, routine, etc when they change homes with the schedule, plus they feel torn between their parents.

  • Likewise, though my ex only has supervised visitation- the boys are miserable, have nightmare about him kidnapping them. Even a phone call from him and they are completely different children- I record their conversations, and he flat out tells them not to listen to me, or anyone else. *sigh*

  • My son gets his ass kissed at his Dad's house. What he wants is what he gets. So, when he comes back, he hates me, he wants his dad and he yells and screams because I don't give in to his every little whim.
