  • Wow, good question!

How about this?  It's a Venezuelan pot roast, very delicious.  It goes well with simple roasted red potatoes or plain rice, and some kind of green vegetable, I have served roasted asparagus with it and gotten rave reviews.  Plus, the whole thing is relatively simple and a lot of the work is done in advance.

  • You know, it depends on the weather. If it's cold, I've been known to do a turkey, or flemish beef stew, au gratin potatoes....really any dish that's special to your family.

If it's warm out, we often grill hamburgers, potato salad, fresh fruit, etc.....just to get a jump start on spring.
