Creche- good idea or bad idea?

So I was reading some good SF and came across the "creche" idea.
Basically what it is, is that all children get raised from birth until adulthood in government owned and operated houses. No more mommies and no more little ones running under foot.

Personally I kinda think it's a very strange idea and I would miss my kids very much. How bout everyone else? Good idea or no and why.

  • No thanks. I had children so I could be a mommy, not to let the government have them. Can you imagine the mess we would be in if the government was raising our kids?!?

  • That's terrible!!! The government already has TOO MUCH control. Why give them out little children? So they can warp their heads with garbage? These are my children and I'm going to raise them. I think this "creche" thing is a TERRIBLE idea.

  • Hell no!

  • That is just not right. We all have to keep our children with us and raise them the way we think is best and love them as only parents can love their children.

  • I think it would lead to a lot of children with disorders stemming mainly from attachment disorders. This is not a good plan in other words.
