3 Bumps

Birthday party hot dogs

Any proven ideas on how to keep a large amount of hot dogs warm without electricity ? I plan on boiling them, could I then put them in buns, wrap in foil and cover in a pan? I dont want them to get warm, or give my guests food poisening from them sitting out.

  • Small ice chest, or crock pot with a double layer of foil and the HOT water still inside the crock pot. They tend to hold the heat in the ceramic insert for quite a while.

  • metal cake pan with metal lid, or you could wrap them in buns and then foil and store them in a large roaster with lid
