Ah, how we love to talk about our kids. They are the sun, the moon, and stars to us mothers. Their accomplishments, their failures, and disabilities all affect our mood, our lives.
We sit in cafes, online, and make playdates for and/or about our kids. Our fears are based largely on how fast or how slow they meet those crucial milestones.
As moms, aren't we supposed to brag, just a little? We go too far sometimes, but shouldn't that be overlooked as being a mom is so hard. We need to feel we are doing a good job, that our kid is on "the right track".
Please cafemoms, stop kicking other moms who are doing their level best, and feel the need to be validated by their kids achievements. Know that those who do yell are the ones who feel the most inadequate. We should support each other and help one another through tough times and choices.
Okay...Done. Just needed to say it.
