What's your remedy for sore muscles?

My job is very physical and I am so sore.... any advice would be appreciated!

  • Ice and stretch. Stretching can work wonders b/c it helps pump out lactic acid build up which is usually the cause of DOMS. Ice helps to kill pain and micro-inflammation you get from working your muscles. I never recommend heat in my practice unless it is just prior to stretching or to increase blood flow in a joint for OA s/sx.

  • My husband carries about 150lbs of gear on a nearly daily basis at the moment. Epsom Salt baths work wonders!

  • I like to soak in a nice hot bubble bath. Then if you have someone to help you have them give you a rub down with some lotion. Hope it helps!

  • After a nice warm bath or shower do some stretches. Do them everyday to keep the muscles limbered up. You can Google stretches and get many for each muscle group
