Painting ceramic pots

we had these pots that we used to hold sugar, flour, brown sugar and coffee means, but they were HIDEOUS! so we just bought new ones. I don't want to throw the pots away. I bought chalk board paint to paint them but it has a glossy finish on it. How do I remove the finish? or can I just paint over it?

  • YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO PAINT RIGHT OVER IT. I WOULD DO A PRIMER PAINT FIRST THEN WHATEVER CHOICE COLOR YOUVE DECIDED ON

  • You could try a small part of it and see how it covers. I think that if it does not work you should be able to paint it with a primer first. You could always ask them inside the paint store.
