  • No...the gender of your baby hasn't even been determined yet. That won't happen for a couple of weeks at least. At that time, if your baby is going to be a boy, testosterone is introduced and everything that makes a boy starts to develop. If your baby is going to be a girl, she just keeps developing as is.

  • No, you need to wait until 20 weeks. Before that boys and girls are developing the same. You'll also need for your LO to cooperate. If they can't see 'down there' at 20 weeks, they can't tell.

  • I work for a radiology office and you can not tell at 9 wks..."SOME"time's you can tell if it is going to be a boy starting at about 15-16 wks...But for a girl it can take up to the 22 weeks to be sure...

  • Genetalia does not form until around 16 weeks. Before that it's definitely impossible to tell. Between that and 20 it's still not guaranteed. Even after 20 weeks it's not guaranteed - I was told at 22 weeks that I was having a boy - I even saw the area myself and though the same. 18 week later out popped a girl! So no, you can't tell at 9 weeks, and you're still not guaranteed later on - you can only be 100% certain after the baby's born.
