  • I think the question comes from the statement people say on here in response to: how many children is too many- lots of people respond with "as long as you can support them, I do not care how many you have".....

  • I have 5 kids, am a SAHM and I've never had people assume that I'm on welfare - at least not to my face. Where I live, it's not uncommon to have multiple children and still be financially stable.

  • I have never thought that about a large family.

  • I don't think that about large families just because they are large. Instead I think it's awesome that there are large financially stable families out there.

  • I am not a large family but I don't bother getting offended by what other people think. There will ALWAYS be those who feel the need to assume and slander. No matter what you do someone will find something to bitch about.

  • Yes!! I do feel insulted. How rude to assume. Some people are so wrong.

  • i have 8 children and my issue isn't whether i am on welfare or not my issue has always been how many fathers were involved which actually ticks me off because in my case 1 one man is responsible for all 8 of My children and yes all 8 are mine as well and i am still happily married to that man but people do assume the worst including educated people like doctors. first off it's none of their business whether there is one man or 8 and second goes for welfare as well and I work for a living to support all 8 of my children as does my husband so ussumptions should not be made without the facts.

  • I've never met anyone who thought that.
