How to pack/plan romantic/family pinic?

I want to surprise my DH with a picnic and my 1 yr old son will be coming with us. I want to go to the toddler park (perfect for my 1 yr old). What should I bring?

  • I would take a freshly cut up fruit salad. You could even make a dip to go with it, your toddler would love it. Also take lunch meats, cheese, bread and chips. You can make your own sandwich while there. I would make tea to take for a drink.

  • Romantic picnic and toddler don't seem to go together, but I like 1st poster's idea for food, and bring toys to keep the baby happy.
