  • Not a chance. No preservatives back then.

  • Never gave it much thought. I can't say whether or not it existed back then, but if it did then I don't believe they were common at all.

  • I think it's absolutely possible! Animals get sick, have cancer and some have developmental issues. Why not neanderthals?

  • Our animals now eat food with preservatives. Not to mention all the pesticides in the air or on the round they stomp through.

  • I think that there were diseases & that they were far & few inbetween. Now a days we travel around spreading our germs & diseases. The food we eat has junk in it, the light fake or real causes cancer, the air in sevearl areas is of great quality, our water is even disgusting most of the time! Back then everything was pure & they kept to themselves mainly b/c they couldnt travel far. I'm sure there were sevearl cases of one getting something then passing it along & sevearl becoming sick & even dieing in a small area but again not nearly as common as it is now a days.

  • Pookie, I'm talking about wild animals, not domesticated. There was cancer long before preservatives.
