Feeding

for those on wic in nh, i plan on breast and formula feeding how many cans of formula will i get and do i still get a pump?

  • no u dont get a pump, unless you are going back to work and not all wic offer pumps. if you are bf then there is no need for formula. they will ask you how many times a day are you nursing. if you truely want to bf dont have any formula at home.

  • If you tell them you plan on breastfeeding and supplementing with formula..they will give you formula,but I'm not sure how many cans.Here in Ohio they give 7 cans a month for full time formula feeding.
    If you ask,some WIC offices have single hand pumps available.If you are going back to work full time and plan on soley pumping for your babies nutrition, they will give you a double electric breast pump.
    Hope this helps.
    You can also call the WIC office and ask for sure in your area.
