Nakedness, should your older child see your younger one naked?

This is during potty training or to cure diaper rash or just baths in general.

Me personally, see nothing wrong with it. My older DDs realize they are "too old" to run around without clothes. But they also love giving my two year old son a bath.

  • I see nothing wrong with it, they are siblings. Now if they were both teens then no but if one a little one at potty training age, no big deal

  • Why would it be an issue? Nudity is not inherently sexual (though you'll find a TON of perverts on CM who disagree).

My children still bathe together, and with me. It isn't an issue until you make it one.

  • Not in my house, no. I am personally very modest/shy. I'm teaching my kids that their bodies are for themselves, family helping them in the tub, and occasionally the dr. Private parts are awesome, for your own hands or your wife/hubby someday.

  • I have two boys, so I don't know if this applies. Yes they are allowed to see each other naked, but they aren't allowed to take a bath together. The older one is helping me potty train the little one by being an example.

  • i have a 6 month old a 2 year old a 7 year old ( the only girl ) and a 9 year old

  • I am honestly not sure about this. I have a 4 1/2 yr old dd with Down Syndrome and I am 33 weeks pregnant with a DS. I don't know if I will even change diapers infront of her. I feel that genitals are private and should be always covered.

  • I see nothing wrong with it. We have never been people to be "ashamed" of our bodies and hide out either though. We dont walk around naked lol but something like what you describe I dont even give a second thought about.

  • my 7 year old has been changing wet diapers on little guy lately (with supervision). One of my friends was over and said. " How can you let her do that?!" I was kinda upset. When he was born my girls asked about his being different down there and I just said "cause he's a boy and you are girls" they were very happy with the answer.

  • I see nothing wrong with it. I'm 35 weeks pregnant with a boy and DD is 9yrs old. She won't be changing diapers but I'm not about to hide the babies privates when I change him. She knows boys are different.
