Can my cell phone get a virus?

I bought my first "smart phone" nearly two months ago. Since I'm now able to access the internet, does this mean there's a possibility of getting a virus?

Does it matter that it's an iPhone4? I'd heard that "macs" don't get viruses as easily as other computers, so is it the same for phones?

  • I don't know about iphones, but I know you can get viruses on an android phone. I also know for android phones there is an app (Lookout Mobile Security) that can scan your entire phone for viruses. I would check and see if there's something similar for iphones.
