  • Weight gain and trouble losing weight, extra hair on the face and body, thinning hair on the scalp, Irregular periods. Often women with PCOS have fewer than nine periods a year. Some women have no periods. Others have very heavy bleeding. Fertility problems. Infertility and finally....my favorite, depression.

in my personal experience i had a few, but not all symptoms. when i was first diagnosed they also preformed an ultrasound and saw that my ovaries had the traditional pearl like cysts. not all women with pcos have these either.

how do you know your not ovulating even though you're having periods?

  • hmmm. clomid never worked for me. femara finally did the trick. if you do have pcos metformin is a big help also. also just a thought on cd 21 my levels were always low but if we tested a few days later they usually indicated i had ovulated, just late.

oh cystic acne is another symptom.
