How much water a day? I just asked my mom & she said half my weight in ounces.

  • so I should drink 100 ozs a day? I thought I was overdoing it by drinking 5 16 oz bottles of water per day I guess I need to step it up

  • I'm in a boot camp program for women and the coach tells us to drink a gallon a day or 16 8 ounce cups! At first I thought it was way too much, but on the days I work out or do a lot of outdoor activity (already pretty warm here in Phoenix), I drink as much as 14 cups! The usual recommended amount is 8-10 cups a day though.

  • The current RDA for women is 11 cups a day (13 for men), including water from foods.
