Should I send them a Christmas card??

Should I send my parents a Christmas card? They beat my kids and left multiple bruises on them earlier this year when they were missing me. I was working OTR in a semi truck. They tried to take my kids away from me.
Should I send my sister a Christmas card? She won't have anything to do with me b/c I called the police and filed a report of abuse on my parents for the bruises. She just had a baby a couple weeks ago and no one ever even told me she was pregnant.
I would feel better with input from you all - so please answer! Thanks!

  • No, I wouldn't. I wouldn't even give them a second thought if they did something like that, I don't care who they are.

  • I wouldn't even tempt myself. I know if that if anybody EVER abused my children, their Christmas card would read something like "Merry Christmas you child abusing pieces of....." well, you get the point. No, I would not associate yourself with them at all! After something like that, I don't care if they're your parents or not, I wouldn't want anything to do with the whole mess or anyone standing behind them.

  • They need to come to you and apologize first. Until that time the ball is in their court. If and when they apologize you can decide how to proceed. You can forgive, but never forget.
