  • I have one. LoL he is actually playing on his xbox 360 right now playing COD. We finally have gotten to the point where he asks me if he can play since we are just sitting around the house not doing anything. But this was after months of fighting and trying to gain control. Just talk to your DH and let him know that it bothers you and you don't want the xbox to replace you. Hope that helps a little bit.

  • YES! my SO is constantly on his xbox 360 or ps3, it's so annoying. i'll play games with him sometimes, but other times i just want to relax with him and spend time with him, and he completely ignores everything i say to play games. i hate it!

  • i've come to the conclusion you have one of two choices and both are good and bad in their own ways.... you can a. find a man who HATES video games and never have to see them again. but you will also be losing the guy your currently in love with... or b. learn the cope with him playing his games all the time. (its sadly what i did). try playing with him, or ask him to explain in the game what he's doing. try to find a way to involve yourself somehow. he may get a new found respect for your video game knowledge. or if you really cant get into the games, do something else while he's playing. like get him to sit with you and play while your reading or scrapbooking or whatever it is you enjoy. that way you get that time with him, even if you are doing 2 seperate things.

  • I have an ex that was completely addicted to the point that it was interfering in his life, thus ours. If you google video gaming addictions there are tons of reports out on the subject. They say when it comes to the point of affecting the family unit in a negative way the gamer has some REAL problems. Good luck.
