Too much?

A friend of mine has no texting manners. She will text late into the night and start texting early in the morning. My phone stays on at night because of family members being very ill.

My friend text me at 5 am. I sent a text back "We are sorry this person is not receiving texts at this time. The phone owner will not text back until after the hour of 7am."

Was it too much?

  • If you have talked to her about it before and she doesn't get it, no it's not too much.

Also, if you have a smartphone, you can download handcent and you can black list someone temporarily so you don't get anything from them.

  • actually I think that is great! I am totally stealing that idea. It is very rude for people to text at weird hours. Does this friend know that you arent able to text at that time?

  • I think you did the right thing,, I ended up getting texting taken off of my phone, I had someone sending me jokes, pictures, constantly even though I told them not to do it so much, I figure if you need to tell me something call and leave me an old fashioned voice mail, I don;t enjoy texting so it was no biggie for me!

  • She knows when we sleep and get up for the day. She knows why we do not turn phones off. We have discussed the issue before.
