39 weeks and 1 day.....

my due date is April 11th and i already lost my mucus plug that had blood in it. and im having contractions. and im having a lot of pelvic pressure i mean a lot. and i had sex sunday to see if ill go into labor but it didnt work. all i got was bad contractions and pelvic pressure. so im thinking i might have to be induced. what can make my water break?? i heard that walking and squating. but what else?? cause im ready for this baby to come out.

  • Sorry...drinking castor oil, raspberry tea or eating spicy foods will not put you into labor.

    Walking, intercourse and time will.

  • I went on a two hour walk.. she came FAST after that. less than an hour later I had contractions like crazy and my water broke when I went to get in bed thinking it didn't work. *rolls eyes* us girls just have to take our sweet time even coming into the world i guess lol

  • 39 weeks and one day means you are ALMOST to the MID-point of the average (estimated) due period.
    Things don't 'work' if your body isn't ready yet. But it will be eventually, promise!

    You don't need to be induced ever if you & baby are fine.
    A due date isn't an "expiration date" of course, just an AVERAGE.

    Try to get distracted while you practice patience, and good luck!
