What age was hardest for you and your child to get through?

Our son was hardest as an infant without a doubt.. I will honestly say I was terrified of what the 3's would bring but I actually LOVE this age... even on bad days they just don't compare to what we've already been through :)

  • Wow that's a good question.
My soon to be 13 yr old is really giving me grief lately, maybe for him this is the age. However he's always been a little harder to deal with than my oldest. Even as a toddler I had some hard times to work through. I think maybe when I get past 13 we'll be good though, this is probably the hardest age so far.
My oldes is 16 and I would say 13/14 was tough.
They are trying to be independent, to find themselves, to make their own rules it can be pretty trying getting them to understand that yes you can have more freedom but it comes with more responsibility and a new set of boundaries and rules. There's a little adjustment period right at this early teen stage.

  • 15-18 years old with my DD. Id take a colicky baby or the terrible 2's any day compared to how hard teenagers can make life.

  • 15-19 yrs old so far has been the roughest across the board (3 out of 5 gone through or are in this stage). I think they lose their damned minds when they turn 15.

  • 4-5 months was hardest. He wanted to be carried around constantly. Not just held...carried around the house, looking at everything. I couldn't even sit down without him screaming, lol. There were days I thought I'd lose my mind!

  • Well my oldest is only 4 and my youngest is 20 months. So far I guess I'd say from when they start walking until they actually start to listen to you at around 3.
