Is there anything i can do to get my milk supply up?

I breast feed but don't have enough milk. When i'm at work i pump during my lunch but only get 1 oz on each side. I'm getting very frustrated but don't want to stop breastfeeding.

  • non-alcoholic beer I hear works wonders. It tastes like CRAP but I hear you will be producing like a cow if you drink it. You can get it at a natural grocer like Whole Foods Market.

  • Start pumping more often, the more you pump the more you will get. Also, make sure you are using a quality pump they are worth the investment. There's also an herb called fenugreek that will increase production, but it will make you smell like maple syrup and it may give the baby a little gas. Good luck mama!

  • Pump for 10 minutes RIGHT after feedings. Even if nothing is coming out keep pumping. You can take Fenugreek, Blessed Thistle and Mothers milk tea all together. It will help. Also I've heard protien powder helps. Eat protien too. Breast milk needs protien to thrive.
