  • I think most people CAN change, but that most WON'T.

Answer by vicesix at 9:58 AM on Apr. 6, 2011

  • Not without professional help. Whatever causes them to act the way they act was instilled in them at a young age. It's had a long time to fester. It will take a long time to change and someone who knows how will have to teach the person how to change since they don't know any other way to act.

  • only if they really want to change & i cannot emphasize that enough. They have to want & accept the change & also get someone professional to help them along the way. Change is hard & it needs lots of support....

  • Only if they choose to. Sometimes they just want to stay the same, whether from fear of change or sheer arrogance.

  • No I dont believe they can. Ever.

Answer by gemgem at 10:00 AM on Apr. 6, 2011

  • YES, If they realize it or if they want too.

You can't change them, they have to want it. That is the only way!!!!!

  • It depends on if you are talking about a male significant other or female. The ultimate answer is no. By this I mean, no one can change who they are. If they have to change to be with someone, they may become resentful. No matter the psych. excercises, etc., we are who we are. We need others in our lives who can live with that and love us for it.
Some changes may stick, but not all.
I hope this helps, not hurts.
