i think meat in moderation is OK. We have one day a week were we eat ONLY vegetarian. Being raised vegetarian & later becoming a meat eater...i know the best of both worlds. My DD is vegetarian, she does not eat meat but does eat dairy & eggs.

This is very true. My ex husband was vegan for YEARS. He was having issues with energy & his hair even began to fall out. He thought he was extremely careful with what he put in his body & really thought he was educated enough to be a healthy vegan. When he finally went to the Dr. they told him he lacked B vitamins in a major way. He now eats dairy & eggs & takes supplements. Still vegetarian though...his son was also malnourished when he tried raising him vegan. His hair is no longer falling out...
some people can handle a vegan diet better than others, we're all different.
