How much would you pay a sitter?

Just trying to get any ideas, I have to hire a sitter.

  • I would pay them enough to make them feel worthy and it depends on their age. If it is a 2-4 hr. job I would give them $20 if it is a kid and $30 for an adult who is obviously giving up valuable time. Or you can go hourly if it is longer, like 5+ hours perhaps $8 per hour, just my opinion.

  • I have 3 kids, so I pay $100 as the minimum for a night out, with me being home by 11pm. However, you should pay $5 per hour you are gone per child is the basic rate.
