What is dip instead of smoking?

  • Chewing tobacco. Comes in a can, you take a pinch and put it between cheek and gum. Then have to spit out the juice so it's not ingested. It's why baseball players always spit; I'm not sure as many of them dip any more, but they used to, and the spitting thing stuck.

  • Dip is smokeless tobacco. It comes in a can (most of the time). You put a wad (can't think of a better word) and you put between you lip and gums.

  • NO, you are not the only one who doesn't know what "dip" is. But now I do know and it sounds reallly awful. WOuldn't it cause oral cancer???

  • Just smokeless tobacco. I grew up with my dad using it and yes, it is disgusting.
