How early did you find out you were having twins? My aunt swears that i am but im only 5-6 weeks PG! Do you hear 2 heart beats at 10 weeks?

  • Most doctors do an early ultrasound around 8-10 weeks at one of the first appointments. They'll be able to tell then if there's more than one baby. (The duppler heartbeat monitor usually isn't used until at least 12 weeks, so you'll get the more reliable test first with the ultrasound. Just be sure they do a thorough look, which they probably will anyway.)

  • At the 22 weeks u/s. their HB overlapped. so the dr not know until then either. It was a pain in the arse for the NST.

  • but yes you do hear 2 HB its the third that you should be concerned about

  • Lol at the PP. You hear 2 HB bc u hear yours and the baby's. At 5-6 wks they can tell by U/S if you're having twins. By the doppler (for heartbeat) it would be rare to find out about twins that way, because their HB could overlap, be simultaneous, or after they find the first, they don't look any more. If you're worried, get a U/S, honey

  • i found out at 5 1/2 weeks. my doc thought i was 14 weeks prego so i got a u/s
