My baby is sleeping ALOT is this normal?

shes cuting teeth 4 right now. top front teeth and the two side teeths on either side. they have poped threw the surface and even come down a bit. but it seems like shes sleeping like almost all day long. and then going down for bedtime and sleeping threw the night! is this normal?
wakes up around 8 ish goes back down for a nap around 1030 ish sleeps till 11 or 12 ish then taking another 2 naps during the day that range rom an hr or 2 each! and shes EXTREMLY fussy : (

  • babies can sleep up to 16 hours in a 24 hour period and when they do it means they are going through a growth spurt and in your case she is probably growing as well as teething

  • Have you checked if she has a fever? Sometimes, they will sleep alot, but if she is really fussy when she is awake, then it might be wortha call to the ped . . just to ask. Is she eating, drinking, wetting and pooping like normal?

  • Yes its ok for her to acting like this..for one shes cutting teeth and she could be going thru a growth spurt..give her something frozen that she cant choke on, (popsicles) and maybe a lil infant tylenol..i hope she feels better soon

  • shes eating and drinking and pooping fine. just oober tired and fussy- she also has 2 other siblings that are not so quiet sometimes when shes napping.maybe shes not getting a good restful nap?

  • We were told by our pedi as long as DD is not running a fever and she's eating, she's ok :)
